DEAR PREMIER RANKIN:

The new isolation requirements announcement by your government are far out of step with the common-sense policies put in place by the other Atlantic provinces and provinces across the country. Domestic travelers from provinces and territories outside Atlantic Canada with one dose must self-isolate for at least 7 days and cannot leave isolation until they get two negative tests results while in Nova Scotia. These requirements are far too strict.

I urge your government to align Nova Scotia’s COVID isolation rules for vaccinated travelers with the rest of Canada.

These never-ending restrictions are crushing my business and our local economy.

At this point it’s a minor miracle – and a true testament to the Nova Scotia entrepreneurial spirit – that many businesses in the province have survived this long.
